Super Bomb Survival Maps Catalog
140+ destructible arenas, two v4.01 newcomers, and the Super Explorer checklist.
Maps in Super Bomb Survival are voted, then eaten. The Fandom list sat at 142 playable arenas around v4.00. v4.01 added Sacred Sanctum by oredude and Charge Station by BrokenEmp, so the live pool is likely 144 until someone recounts. Layouts matter on 3.0. On 6.0 the layout is a rumour and the lava is the map. Use this page with how to get badges for Super Explorer and with survive 6.0 for why your favourite bowl becomes a swimming pool.
How voting works
Before each round the server offers three random maps. Click one. Map Vote Priority (35 Robux) makes your click count as three. Anyone can force a specific map from the shop for 3 Gems (it used to be 10). That map cannot be offered again for two rounds. VIP server owners pick maps free from the arcade console and can also lock caves, round timer, and 6.0 Intensity.
Completed Super Explorer maps show a checkmark and a green name on the vote UI. That is your checklist. Do not dump 200 Gems in one night rerolling for Ban Land; play normally and force only the last stubborn leftovers.
v4.01 maps
Sacred Sanctum (oredude) and Charge Station (BrokenEmp) shipped with Belly Drum, Lava Sponge, and the new 10.0 music. Community impressions were still landing when this was written, so this catalog will not invent “best 6.0 map” letters. Win both once for Super Explorer. If a map feels unfair, the intensity planner is the real lever, not a boycott.
What “good map” even means
There is no sourced beginner-versus-6.0 ranking, so we will not fake one. Principles instead:
- Open lava bowls punish ragdoll and reward Bubble Ride + Unshakeable.
- Vertical maps reward Hover, Truss, Ice Tower, Super Jump.
- Cave maps reward Pickaxe and Treasurer at low Intensity, then collapse when Destroyers spawn.
- Thin bridges delete themselves at 4.0+.
- Layers between lava and the map bottom can double, which is why the same vote can feel deeper on the next play.
- Invisible ceiling exists; clipping out with exploits is bannable and unrelated to Super Explorer.
Lava is tick damage since v3.17.7, not an instant kill, which is why Fireproof is a map Perk as much as a bomb Perk. See the perks list.
Creating maps
Polyhex still ships the free SBS Map Kit (Roblox library model 169167006). Instructions sit in the kit’s READ ME script. Fan maps enter the vote pool when they are accepted; they are not a Trello card — Super Bomb Survival has no Trello. Follow Polyhex and the community links if you want submission news.
Removed maps (Thin Crust, Volcanotown, others) do not count for Super Explorer. Bombeton was removed and later restored in v3.11.1. If v4 hotfixes drop a map, the updates hub will note it.
How maps interact with Skills
Platform, Truss, Ice Tower, Spring, and Lava Sponge are map Skills. They exist because bombs delete geometry. If you keep losing on open maps, stop blaming the vote and equip one of those plus Fireproof using the loadout planner. If you keep losing in caves, stop Pickaxe-greeding red coins while a Warp Mine sits in the dark — beat bombs.
A rare 6.0 bug can spawn no bombs for the entire round. Enjoy the free Super Explorer tick if it happens, then queue again.
Play the three votes you are given. Force the last Super Explorer holes with 3 Gems. Ignore anyone selling a “best map tier list” that was not sourced from the live pool after Sacred Sanctum shipped. Play the new maps once for Super Explorer and move on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Super Bomb Survival questions.
How do I choose a Super Bomb Survival map?
Vote one of three, or pay 3 Gems (free on VIP). Super Explorer needs a win on each current map — see how to get badges.
What maps did v4.01 add?
Sacred Sanctum by oredude and Charge Station by BrokenEmp. Patch context: v4.0 update.
Is there a Map Kit?
Yes, Roblox library model 169167006. Community links are on the links hub.
Why do 6.0 maps feel the same?
Because Destroyers delete them. Bring Platform, Hover, or Bubble Ride from the skills list instead of rerolling votes.
